Lauren began her career in publishing with the Oxford English Dictionary, where she worked for eight years as assistant to the Director of the American Reading Program. She wrote her first book in 2000, and has since written 18 more. Lauren is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, and was listed in Who’s Who in American Writing.
Lauren serves on the Board of Directors of the Green Mountain Montessori School, and is President of the St. Andrew’s Highland Dancers of Vermont. She lives in Vermont with her husband, three children, and Chester the pug.

While the subjects she covers are diverse, she specializes in business and educational topics. Passions which haven’t made it to the page include (in no particular order): gardening, Sting, Key West, Italian language and culture, cooking, and reading. Her favorite books are Ahab’s Wife, A Prayer for Owen Meany, The Garden of Eden, and everything by David Sedaris.
