About Lauren

Lauren began her career in publishing with the Oxford English Dictionary, where she worked for eight years as assistant to the Director of the American Reading Program. She wrote her first book in 2000, and has since written 20 more. Lauren is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, and was listed in Who’s Who in American Writing.

While the subjects she covers are diverse, she specializes in business and educational topics. Passions which haven’t made it to the page include (in no particular order): gardening, Sting, Key West, Italian language and culture, cooking, and reading. Her favorite books include Ahab’s Wife, Evidence of Things Unseen, A Prayer for Owen Meany, and Elegance of the Hedgehog.

Lauren serves on the Board of Directors of the Green Mountain Montessori School, and was President of the St. Andrew’s Highland Dancers of Vermont from 2008-2011. She lives in Vermont with her husband and three children.
